Job summary

Knife River - ND is seeking a skilled grader operator to safely operate grader equipment, spread and level dirt, gravel, and stone according to grade specifications. The role requires strong attention to safety, routine maintenance, and effective communication with crew members.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of heavy civil operation experience, 5 years with Trimble Grade Controls, and a valid medical card and driving record.

Qualifications

• General education, grammar and arithmetic: GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' heavy civil operation experience and equipment maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Trimble Grade Controls.
• Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate grader to spread and level dirt, gravel and stone to grade specification.
• Perform daily equipment checks and site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and maintain equipment.
• Maintain and lubricate, fuel and clean the blade as needed.
• Operate blade with control of height and angle, and perform grading passes to specified grade.
