Qualifications

• 3+ years operating a motor grader.
• Experience with GPS systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
• Ability to read grade stakes and plans.
• Understanding of grading principles.
• Strong safety knowledge and awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate a motor grader for fine grading, road construction, and subgrade preparation.
• Use GPS/grade control to maintain elevation and alignment.
• Read and interpret digital plans and site models.
• Perform daily equipment inspections before and after shifts.
• Coordinate with surveyors and crew for grade accuracy.
• Maintain blade control for smooth surfaces.
• Follow safety procedures and jobsite protocols.
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing rework.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a motor grader (Cat 672 or similar) for fine grading, road construction, and subgrade preparation
• Utilize GPS/grade control systems to maintain accurate elevation and alignment
• Read and interpret digital plans and site models
• Perform daily equipment inspections (pre- and post-shift)
• Coordinate with surveyors and crew to ensure grade accuracy
• Maintain proper blade control for smooth, uniform surfaces
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols
• Report equipment issues promptly
• Maintain production efficiency while minimizing rework
