Qualifications

• Active Alabama Grade IV Water Operator Certification required.
• Ability to maintain accurate operational and regulatory records.
• Ability to safely operate and maintain equipment.
• Must be able to work the 7-on/7-off schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be available for emergency response and additional work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors, and maintains waterplant systems and equipment.
• Monitors treatment processes and makes adjustments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Performs sampling, testing, and process-control analysis.
• Maintains logs, testing records and regulatory documentation.
• Responds to equipment failures, alarms, and emergencies.
• Promotes safety and adherence to procedures.
