Job summary

Golden Queen Mining Co., LLC, located near Mojave, California, seeks a Grade Control Technician to support ore control with field sampling, geological mapping, and data management. The role collaborates with geology, surveying, and mining teams to ensure accurate grade reconciliation and adherence to QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities include blast-hole sampling, open-pit field mapping, and input into blast data releases using Leapfrog, Minesight, GIS, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Effective communication and ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Able to collaborate with geology, engineering and mining teams to support QA/QC and data management.

Responsibilities

• Sample blast-holes on active drill patterns in a consistent method.
• Assist geology with field mapping and sampling requirements.
• Maintain databases for blast-hole samples and ore grade reconciliation.
• Coordinate with survey and mine-planning teams on ore polygons and data releases.
• Enter data and prepare geologic sections using Leapfrog, Minesight, GIS and AutoCAD tools.
• Support QA/QC protocols as set by mine management.
