Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required to apply.
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a Hawaii teaching license.
• Enroll in a program to continue employment; demonstrate active pursuit yearly.
• Upon hire, a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required.
• Apply for Hawaii teaching license via Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Website.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom culture with clear behavior and academic growth expectations.
• Assess and monitor student learning using formative and summative assessments and differentiate instruction.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and goals.
• Integrate educational technology to enhance learning and digital literacy.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and school leadership.
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-wide events.
