Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Required); Master’s Degree (Preferred).
• Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure in Mathematics grades 5-8.
• Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement (Required within 1-year of start date).
• Proficiency with technology (blended learning, Remind, Google G-Suite, etc.) desirable.
• Dual certification is a plus.
• Second language (Spanish and/or Portuguese) proficiency a plus.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics using the district curriculum and materials aligned to state frameworks for grade six.
• Maintain high expectations for student learning and behavior; provide support to reach goals.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials that address diverse learning styles.
• Prepare teaching materials and analyses to improve instruction and document student progress.
• Promote a positive classroom environment and effective classroom management.
• Collaborate with special education and multilingual learning teachers to support all students.
• Engage families and maintain regular communication; participate in professional development.
