Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
• MA DESE licensure in Elementary Education (Grades 1–6) or eligible for licensure preferred.
• Experience teaching elementary students, preferably upper elementary.
• Strong instructional, classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff.
• Available to begin November 23, 2026 and commit to the assignment with duration flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Grade 5 instruction.
• Maintain continuity of instruction using lesson plans, materials, routines and Grade 5 guidance.
• Demonstrate effective instructional practices across literacy and mathematics.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment with sustaining practices and clear expectations.
• Assess student progress and differentiate instruction for diverse needs.
• Implement accommodations with special education staff and other support personnel.
• Maintain attendance and progress records.
• Communicate proactively with families, colleagues, and administrators.
• Participate in team meetings and other school responsibilities during the assignment.
• Support smooth transitions at start and end of assignment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
