Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools seeks a Riverside Long Term Sub-Elementary Classroom Teacher (grade 4) to support fourth-grade students at Riverside Elementary School. The position reports to the Building Principal and runs from 01/25/2027 to 06/04/2027, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm.

The role involves implementing district-approved curriculum, tracking student progress, and collaborating with staff to maintain a productive classroom environment while addressing diverse learner needs.

Qualifications

• Certification/License: Elementary Education Preferred.
• Minnesota State Certification as Elementary Teacher.
• Minnesota State Certification in the appropriate grade level preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Masters Degree in related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student success and growth by implementing district-approved curriculum.
• Document teaching and student progress, activities, and outcomes.
• Create a flexible, safe learning environment and communicate student progress to parents and administration.
• Coordinate with grade-level staff to evaluate and assess curriculum and participate in meetings.

Education

Bachelors in Elementary Education

Masters Degree preferred

Minnesota State Certification as Elementary Teacher

Minnesota State Certification in appropriate grade level preferred
