Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for Grade 3-Spanish Immersion. The role requires a Minnesota K-6 license or eligibility, and native or near-native Spanish fluency with an Advanced ACTFL rating.

Qualifications

• Minnesota K-6 or 1-6 Elementary Education Teaching License or must qualify for a Minnesota teaching license.
• Native or near native fluency in Spanish and Advanced ACTFL rating required via InterviewIQ.
• Experience with immersion teaching methods is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate native or near native fluency in Spanish and communicate with parents in English.
• Implement Total Physical Response (TPR) methodology in immersion setting.
• Develop lesson plans and adapt district curriculum for diverse learners.
• Translate lesson plans into engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain classroom standards and monitor pupil behavior for effective learning.
• Evaluate student progress and prepare timely progress reports.
• Identify student needs and coordinate with special education supports as needed.
• Engage families through Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, and conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in PLCs, meetings, and professional development.
