Minnetonka Public School Service Center in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a 2027 Elementary Spanish Immersion Temporary Teacher for 1.0 FTE (January 4, 2027 to June 9, 2027). The teacher will deliver Spanish immersion instruction to elementary students, develop plans, and assess progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota K-6 teaching license or qualify for Minnesota license.
• Native or near native fluency in Spanish with Advanced ACTFL.
• Willing to be considered in other content areas with OFP support.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate native or near native fluency in Spanish.
• Demonstrate English language proficiency to communicate with parents.
• Use Total Physical Response (TPR) to teach in an immersion program.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized and small group instruction.
• Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate experiences.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
• Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth and prepare progress reports.
• Identify pupil needs and develop strategies for IEPs.
• Communicate with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintain professional skills through meetings and coursework.
• Integrate technology into instruction.
• Perform other duties of similar nature.
