Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college in the relevant field.
• Valid Georgia PSC-approved teaching certificate.
• Special education certification alignment for eligible assignments.
• ESOL and Gifted endorsements required.
• CTAE certifications as applicable to the role.
• Must pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Minimum two years of verifiable industrial work experience.
• Industry licensure may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-level, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Plans and delivers lessons for in-person and virtual learning with evidence of preparation.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents by phone, email, or video.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
• Uses internet and technology to provide instruction and collaboration.
• Assesses and documents progress, attendance, and performance reports.
• Manages student behavior in line with the Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Participates in conferences with parents, counselors, teachers, and administrators.
• Performs duties such as ordering materials and attending professional sessions.
• Directs paraprofessional support as needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
