Location: Memorial Elementary School

Schedule: 2024-2025 School Year

Salary: Per Teachers Contract

Start Date: August 25 - December 1, 2025

Qualifications
  • Mass. Department of Education Teacher License: certified Early Childhood (PreK-3); required
  • Certified Special Education Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8); preferred
  • Certified English as a Second Language (PreK-6); preferred
  • Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement; required
  • Bilingual Proficiency (Spanish and/or Portuguese); preferred
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts Core-Content Frameworks and WIDA Standards
  • Training and experience in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Excellent computer/technology skills (e.g., ASPEN X2, Google Suite, Ellevation, TalkingPoints, iReady, Clever, STMath)
  • Commitment to high expectations, equal access, and closing achievement gaps
  • Active learner, reflective, capable of engaging with the school community
  • Positive attitude, involved in academic and social school life
Responsibilities
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment aligned with grade-level MA Frameworks and EL WIDA standards
  • Differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including students with disabilities and English learners
  • Experience with Co-Teaching models
  • Use assessments to guide instruction
  • Knowledge of standards-based math programs (e.g., Illustrative Math, STMath)
  • Implement literacy curricula (e.g., Fundations, Heggerty)
  • Apply Science of Reading pedagogy
  • Participate in MTSS and Responsive Classroom strategies
  • Integrate technology effectively in lessons
  • Manage classroom behavior and collaborate with colleagues
