Job description

Overview

Sun Mountain Community School is the only Waldorf-inspired, tuition-free public charter school in New Mexico. We currently serve more than 120 students in kindergarten through fourth grade, as well as sixth grade, on our eight-acre campus. As part of our planned growth, we will add fifth and seventh grades in the 2026–2027 school year and an eighth grade in 2027–2028, completing our full K–8 program.

Position

SMCS is now welcoming applications for a second grade class teacher for the 2026-27 school year. A full-time Elementary Grades Teacher at SMCS will create a safe and engaging classroom, and deliver age-appropriate instruction aligned with public Waldorf education and New Mexico state standards.
