Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices is seeking an experienced GPU PCBA Debug and Failure Analysis Engineer to analyze GPU accelerator PCBA failures, reproduce issues, and drive root-cause corrective actions. You will work with design, validation, firmware, and manufacturing to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on PCB diagnostics, strong problem-solving, and experience with high performance computing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering preferred.
  • Deep expertise in GPU architecture, including debug, validation, and stress/functional test development.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot PCBA-level AMD GPU product failures for yield and quality improvements.
  • Develop and execute DOEs to reproduce and isolate failures.
  • Develop automation and tools to run tests and analyze results/logs.
  • Coordinate with Design, BIOS, firmware, memory, I/O, and other teams to converge on root cause.
