Job summary

Teichert is seeking a GPS Software Technician in Davis, CA to deliver accurate GPS models for subdivision, site work, and road projects. You will work with project engineers to gather CAD files and control points, run earthwork calculations, and update models for field use.

You will also support Teichert’s Drone Program, maintain schedule, and ensure deadlines are met while continuously improving field-topography workflows. A Part 107 certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience.
• Possession of a valid Part 107 certification.
• Experience with AGTEK or Trimble Business Center preferred.
• Experience using AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans and specifications.
• Grading field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build GPS models for rough and finish grades of subdivisions, site work, and roads.
• Provide up-to-date model files to the field and manage workload.
• Collaborate with project management and engineers to obtain CAD files and control points.
• Perform earthwork calculations based on field topographies and current model.
• Incorporate tie-out information from the field into models for field use.
• Meet deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Visit project sites to support field crews and management.
