Job summary

Deloitte’s GPS HST Technology team seeks a Software Engineer III to support government programs, delivering systems for eligibility, benefits, and case management. You will work on engagements related to systems implementation, operations, and software development, while guiding junior staff.

The role requires strong independent work ethic, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 20% may be required depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of consulting and/or industry experience.
• Experience with state public assistance systems, eligibility & benefits determination is required.
• Experience supporting state clients in eligibility, benefits calculation/issuance, or information management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices, leading tasks or workstreams.
• Assist and/or lead on engagements related to Systems Implementation, Operations & Maintenance, Helpdesk Operations, and Software Development/maintenance.
• Contribute to deliverables and review others’ work for quality and accuracy.
• Demonstrate understanding of client environment and overall project scope.
• Manage client and team value creation activities and relationships.
