The role requires coordination with crews, data collection, and strict adherence to project plans. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in grade checking or surveying, experience with Trimble GPS/Topcon, and Civil 3D familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• 2 years of experience in grade checking, surveying, or GPS machine control.
• Experience with Trimble GPS, Topcon, or similar.
• Drone License Part 107, preferred.
• Experience utilizing Civil 3D design software to complete project needs.

Responsibilities

• Configure GPS base stations, rovers and automated machine controls on heavy earthmoving and paving equipment.
• Perform grade checking to verify elevations, slopes, and alignment according to project plans.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot GPS equipment, total stations, and laser levels.
• Interpret blueprints, site plans, and staking information.
• Set and verify control points, hubs, and offsets.
• Communicate grade and layout information clearly to operators and field crews.
• Monitor and ensure accuracy during earthwork, paving, and utility installation.
• Maintain daily records of measurements and site activities.
• Other duties as required.
