Job summary

Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas is seeking an Accountability Specialist (Security) to oversee GPS monitoring and home confinement compliance. You will coordinate with case managers, install GPS devices, and ensure activities comply with Bureau of Prisons guidelines and ACA standards.

The role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to public safety. Travel to sites and collaboration with staff are expected.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required; degree preferred in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, human services, or related field.
• Experience counseling or supervising adults in correctional settings or related roles.
• Familiar with GPS monitoring, incident reporting and due process procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS devices and monitor resident movement and home confinement.
• Coordinate with case managers to schedule activities in compliance with BOP/ACA guidelines.
• Plan and verify job-site visits with the Employment Placement Specialist.
• Maintain monitoring records, inventory, and incident documentation weekly.
• Prepare reports and participate in program meetings and trainings.
• Ensure compliance with ACA, VOACC policies and PREA requirements.
