Job summary

Grifols, S.A. Government Rebate Analyst II position in RTP, NC is a hybrid role focused on Medicaid rebate processes and related finance activities.

You will process rebates, validate data, and coordinate with management, finance and accounts payable to ensure timely, compliant payments. Ideal candidates have a finance or accounting background, at least two years of related experience, and strong Excel and Office skills.

Job description

Summary:

The Government Rebate Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end Medicaid drug rebate process which includes, but is not limited to, processing invoices, validating data, disputing when necessary, remitting payments for federal, state, and supplemental programs, etc. This role will validate and analyze utilization trends against prescribed methods. The Government Rebate Analyst is responsible for ensuring government rebate payments are submitted within the mandated timelines.

This position is a hybrid role based out of the RTP, NC headquarters.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Medicaid rebate invoices and the tracking of payments with internal stakeholders (e.g., management, finance, and accounts payable) and various state agencies while following corporate controls/approved guidelines and SOX regulations.
  • Maintains a basic understanding of governing laws, regulations, and policies and conforms accordingly while carrying out the accountability of the job.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all state and federal mandated deadlines to avoid interest/late fee penalties.
  • Responsible for working with large amounts of data; evaluates claims level detail to ensure product dispensing aligns with internal guidelines and performs disputes accordingly.
  • Responsible for negotiating dispute resolutions with state analyst/vendors and ensuring proper documentation of the dispute resolution process.
  • Prepares an array of government contracts reports and disseminates them to the corresponding stakeholders.
  • Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of key information, understand and address needs, and clarify contractual obligations.
  • Responsible for maintaining updated information for state/federal programs, vendors, etc. and immediately notifying management .when changes take place.
  • Assists other team members with projects and/or reports, as needed to ensure the department achieves its goals.
  • Handles multiple priorities simultaneously and has strong attention to detail while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Scans government rebate packets and prepares documents to be sent to an off-site storage facility.
  • Participates in system upgrades, enhancements, and patches and assists with system updates.

The Government Rebate Analyst II is able to perform these tasks with minimal direction. The GRA II is also responsible for reviewing team members' work and for serving as a resource for the rest of the team.

  • Additional responsibilities/duties may be assigned to meet departmental goals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations governing the Government Rebate area (e.g. Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, etc.) is preferred for a Government Rebate Analyst I but not required. This knowledge is required for a Government Rebate Analyst II.
  • Experience with government rebates processing in the Model N (f.k.a. Revitas) Flex system is preferred but not required.
  • Basic working knowledge with Microsoft Office products is required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are required .
  • Has the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, with strong attention to detail, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant fields is required.
Experience:
  • Must have 2+ years of related experience

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequently walks. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations and frequently travels within the United States. Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues. Performs a wide range of complex tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence.
