Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA seeks a Government Property Administrator to manage government and company-owned assets across their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with FAR 52.245-1 and accurate records. The role involves coordinating with customers, vendors, and agencies, and supporting audits in a regulated defense environment.

You will guide junior staff, prepare reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain consistency in property controls.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in inventory, government property management, and/or material handling.
• Experience with Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with FAR 52.245-1.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of property and assets per program requirements and regulatory guidance.
• Apply FAR 52.245-1 and other guidance to maintain compliance.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to training.
• Analyze and resolve property issues using established procedures.
• Maintain accurate property records to support audits.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and government agencies on property inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent property control processes.
• Ensure adherence to contract terms and internal policies for customer-owned property.
• Support site leadership on compliance activities.
• Prepare and present property reports and performance metrics.
• Conduct physical inventories and reconcile records.
• Manage property disposition and closeout activities.
