Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Revenue Cycle Insurance Collections Specialist who bills third party claims to governmental payers and manages delinquent balances.

You will maintain documentation, interact with payers and employers, and support other Revenue Cycle teams in resolving denials and charge variances.

Strong knowledge of payer systems (DDE, MMIS) and UB04 data, plus the ability to multi-task and communicate clearly, are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of collection or business office experience.
• Knowledge of governmental billing regulations.
• Ability to work in multiple systems and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review documentation in the NGMC Patient Accounting core system.
• Proficiency in the claims processing software; review claims and correct before payer submission.
• Maintain claims in the billing scrubber at minimum levels and alert supervisor if unresolved within 24 hours.
• Identify and print/mail hard copy claims for non-electronic payers (e.g., workers compensation).
• Resolve claim rejections daily and report root causes to appropriate departments.
