Job summary

FloridaCommerce in Tallahassee seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to advance workforce development projects, manage grants, and coordinate interagency agreements. You will work with local workforce development boards and partners to implement special projects funded by the Department.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and technical assistance to Florida Local Workforce Development Boards and partners on project implementation.
• Develops training materials and conducts and/or leads required trainings.
• Researches federal and state laws and regulations to update policies and guidelines for assigned projects.
• Coordinates required activities for projects including data analysis for quarterly reporting.
• Assists management in development and operation of workforce programs and grants.
• Writes and manages grant awards, contracts, MOUs and interagency agreements.
• Serves on workgroups related to assigned projects.
• Assists with special projects and initiatives within the unit.
• Supports initiatives related to special populations.
