Job summary

FloridaCommerce is seeking a Government Operations Consultant III to support the implementation, administration, and oversight of Florida’s Economic Development Programs under the Division of Economic Development. You will evaluate applications, advise on project approvals, and prepare analyses and contracts.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and excellent communication. Based in Tallahassee, relocation is not provided, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 security background screening (fingerprinting and records check) required.
• Duties performed at official work site.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in every phase of the economic development project process.
• Evaluate program applications for statutory requirements and policy guidelines.
• Assist in approval of economic development projects and related negotiations.
• Coordinate development of analyses, reports and presentations for leadership decisions.
• Conduct financial, business and legal due diligence (credit, industry, competitive position).
• Prepare contracts and agreements as necessary.
