Job summary

The State of Florida is seeking a Government Analyst II in Tallahassee to support the Financial Reporting bureau. You will oversee access to critical ACFR applications and ensure compliance with GAAP and GASB, while coordinating updates and security roles.

Responsibilities include data collection, procedure development, and training across agencies, with a focus on accurate financial reporting and internal controls within the Accounting and Auditing division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• Four years of experience in governmental accounting and financial statement preparation is required; a degree may substitute year-for-year.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP; proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, analyze data, and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as access custodian and maintainer of applications used for ACFR compilation.
• Maintain applications to ensure GAAP/GASB compliance in reporting.
• Ensure appropriate user access and roles based on business rules.
• Collaborate to develop and maintain application business rules for ACFR.
• Identify changes to implement GASB statements and coordinate their rollout.
• Assist in coordinating activities for ACFR preparation, including data collection and training.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
