Job summary

State of Florida in Tallahassee seeks a FINANCIAL EXAMINER/ANALYST II to perform advanced analysis and examinations for registration and enforcement purposes. The role supports compliance with Chapter 517, F.S., and collaborates across legal, accounting and regulatory teams.

Two years of relevant experience are preferred; a related degree may substitute. The position includes background checks and a salary range of $53,000 to $58,000, paid monthly, with a full state benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional experience in analyzing, processing applications, investigating, examining, or auditing within financial services or similar government-related work.
• A post-secondary degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
• Experience with securities, banking or insurance industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis and examination of applications for registration to ensure compliance with Chapter 517, F.S.
• Coordinate and assist in registration records projects such as renewal and annual statements.
• Answer routine questions from attorneys, accountants, regulators and the public about laws and department policies.
• Analyze records in computer and manual systems to maintain workload status reports.
• Assist in training staff to ensure proper procedures are followed and review work.
