Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Government Conveyance Coordinator to manage FHA/VA REO dispositions and oversee related reporting and controls. This on-site role focuses on ensuring property condition, cost control, and contractor coordination, with mentorship and process improvements across the team.

The position requires prior Single‑Family Default Real Estate Servicing experience and strong vendor management, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of Single‑Family Default Real Estate Servicing experience, direct Government Conveyance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the disposition or conveyance of FHA and VA REOs.
• Create, review, and react to control reports.
• Ensure Shellpoint and the investor understand condition of collateral and planned repairs.
• Control expenses to minimize non‑reimbursable preservation costs.
• Arrange for contractual services for property inspections and appraisals.
• Support vendor performance and relationships.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to improvements in the Property Preservation department.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Must be on-site to perform essential functions.

Primary Function

Under minimal supervision the Government Conveyance Coordinator will be responsible for managing the properties to achieve ICC condition for conveyance, managing CWCOT auction files, and making executive decisions regarding an REOs disposition path. The Government Conveyance Coordinator will be responsible for the success of the disposition strategies, developing performance reporting, and creating proper controls around the process.

Principal Duties

• Manage the disposition or conveyance of FHA and VA REOs.
• Create, review, and react to control reports.
• Ensure that Shellpoint and the investor have a clear understanding of the condition of the collateral and are making appropriate repairs.
• Control expenses to ensure non‑reimbursable preservation expenses are minimized.
• Arranges for contractual services relating to property inspections, appraisers, etc., who may be involved in the inspection or evaluation of the property.
• Assists in managing relationships with and performance of vendors.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Contributes to the on‑going improvement of the Property Preservation department through sharing ideas and improvements with the team.
• Mentor and provide guidance to more junior level employees working on the process.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• These essential functions are fundamental to the role, and must be performed on site, as they cannot physically be performed remotely. In addition, the Company has determined that an in‑person presence is important to critical components of our work, including oversight, training, collaboration, and productivity. Items not marked (*) as essential on‑site, may still require partial on‑site work to perform the role satisfactorily.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• 3+ years Single‑Family Default Real Estate Servicing experience, direct Government Conveyance experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellence in communication via telephone and written communication.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skill.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills to be used in directing decision‑making.
• Basic understanding of Mortgage lending, Claims and servicing.
• Strong negotiation and follow‑up skills, as well as the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Specialized knowledge in government regulations (e.g., FHA, HUD, etc.).
• Specialized knowledge of home repair costs and timelines, and construction quality.
• Strong vendor management skills.
• Timeline management skills.
