Job summary

SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace Company, seeks a Government Contract Accountant in Princeton, NJ. You will manage federal contract accounting in Deltek Costpoint, handle billing for Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price and T&M, and monitor contract performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, U.S. citizenship, and 1–3 years of federal government contract accounting experience, with knowledge of FAR/DFAR/CAS and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with accounting courses.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• 1-3 years of progressive experience with federal government contract accounting including indirect rate analysis.
• Experience billing Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price and T&M payments in a government contracting environment.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR and CAS guidelines/procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review and set up federal government contracts into Deltek Costpoint contracts & accounting software.
• Billing and reporting of Cost Reimbursable, Fixed Price and T&M federal government contracts.
• Monitoring of contract performance.
• Preparation of government compliance support schedules.
• General ledger and job cost ledger reconciliations.
• Support annual Incurred Cost and Provisional Billing Rate submissions.
• Support audit activities with the customer, DCAA, and/or DCMA.
• Implement automation of accounting operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

The pay range for this position is $77,000 - $103,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
