Cisco Systems, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical government operations. The role is hybrid in San Jose.

You will work with ECR, EKS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, Helm, and Ansible to automate IaC and ensure reliability for critical systems.

This position requires U.S. Person status due to government work and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or software development.
• Proficiency in AWS technologies, including EKS, Secrets Manager, Security Groups, and Networking.
• Strong skills in Terraform and Kubernetes for managing scalable, reliable infrastructure.
• Experience in programming and scripting in Python.
• Experience with Helm and Ansible to manage Kubernetes workloads and configuration automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based application infrastructure, including services such as ECR, EKS, S3, and Networking.
• Support and collaborate with cross-functional teams inside of Cisco and external to Cisco to address dependencies and ensure seamless integration across projects.
• Work with Terraform (TF) and Kubernetes (K8s) to automate and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Develop scripts and automation tools, with a focus on Python, to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
