Job summary

The role requires knowledge of GASB and FASB, plus the ability to supervise audit workflow, train clerks, and produce timely results. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent with related work experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or closely related field with 1 year of accounting experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Accounting with 3 years of direct accounting work experience.
• High school diploma plus 5 years of direct accounting experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs annual audits of offices of elected officials and tests activities for compliance with laws and procedures.
• Compiles financial information into statements and assists with accruals and corrections.
• Provides financial and technical support to government offices and conducts annual hotel/motel audits.
• Uses GASB/FASB standards and auditing software to direct work flow and ensure timely completion.
