Job summary

Abdo LLP seeks an Associate to join the Governmental Financial Solutions team, focusing on local government engagements and expanding accounting experience. You will manage multiple client projects, deliver specialized financial and consulting services, and help clients improve financial efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA or pursuing CPA preferred.
• Experience processing AP/AR and performing cash and investment reconciliations.
• Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients on-site, by phone, teleconferencing, and email to obtain accurate information.
• Process and post day-to-day accounting transactions.
• Perform period-end closes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and internal management reports.
• Provide clients with customized dashboards, metrics and analytical reporting.
• Assist with budgeting and long-term planning; support year-end close and audit prep.
