Job summary

Polsinelli seeks a Governance Risk & Compliance Engineer to support information governance and data security programs, with a preference for Kansas City but a remote option is available. You will review guidelines, complete security questionnaires, and help advance a multi-year data governance roadmap.

The role requires MIS/CS knowledge, strong risk controls experience, and the ability to collaborate across teams to advise on risk treatment options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of risk and controls, including COSO, COBIT, ISO, NIST, ITIL.
• Ability to thrive in a changing environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Practical experience with information security risk assessments and audits.

Responsibilities

• Participate in activities related to Polsinelli’s information and data governance programs.
• Review Outside Counsel Guidelines to meet client security requirements and document the review.
• Complete client security questionnaires promptly.
• Support multi-year roadmap to enhance data governance capabilities.
• Advise on information governance topics related to legal and regulatory compliance.
