Job summary

KACE is seeking a Copy Editor in Washington, DC with remote eligibility to support the CGS team in producing governance documents. You will ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency, coordinating with subject matter experts and obtaining management approval.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of editing experience, plus strong grammar knowledge and Microsoft Word (Track Changes) and Adobe Acrobat skills. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience organizing information and communicating effectively.
• Experience supporting law enforcement and/or experience in legal drafting is desired.

Responsibilities

• Delivers properly formatted, final versions of policies, procedures, and other governance work type products.
• Coordinates work products with applicable shareholders.
• Ensures timelines and deliverables are maintained.
• Obtains management approval of all final work products.
• Guides staff on drafting policies and procedures.
• Proficient in reviewing and editing SOPs, policies, and written instructions.
