Sharp Solutions Inc. is recruiting a Governance & Business Requirements Manager to support a federal government client in establishing enterprise governance, BPM, requirements gathering, risk management, and vendor oversight.

The role acts as a liaison between executive leadership, business stakeholders, program teams, and technical groups to ensure aligned governance, requirements, risks, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in business analysis, governance, or program management.

  • Strong governance knowledge and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering via interviews, workshops, and analyses.
  • Document business needs, workflows, and operational objectives.
  • Support governance boards and executive reviews.
  • Develop SOPs, process maps, dashboards, and reporting materials.
  • Coordinate vendor oversight and risk assessment activities.
  • Facilitate meetings and stakeholder communications across orgs.
  • Help leaders develop strategic roadmaps and improvement plans.

Location: Remote / Hybrid
Salary Range: $120,000 - $125,000 annually
Security Requirement: Must be able to successfully pass a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Background Investigation.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Governance & Business Requirements Manager to support a federal government client in establishing and enhancing enterprise governance, business process management, requirements gathering, risk management, and vendor oversight activities. This position serves as a key liaison between executive leadership, business stakeholders, program teams, and technical organizations to ensure governance decisions, requirements, risks, business processes, and vendor performance are effectively managed and aligned with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong business operations background with experience facilitating stakeholder engagement, gathering and documenting requirements, improving organizational processes, supporting governance frameworks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead requirements gathering activities through stakeholder interviews, workshops, document reviews, and business analysis sessions.
  • Analyze and document business needs, workflows, business rules, process requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Support governance boards, executive reviews, decision forums, and organizational management activities.
  • Develop and maintain governance artifacts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, decision logs, charters, templates, and reporting materials.
  • Facilitate risk identification, tracking, mitigation planning, and escalation processes across organizational stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and improve business processes by identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, duplicate activities, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support development of performance measures, dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.
  • Track governance actions, taskers, issues, risks, decisions, and process improvement initiatives from intake through closure.
  • Coordinate vendor performance monitoring activities, contract oversight reporting, corrective actions, and vendor risk assessments.
  • Assist leadership in developing strategic roadmaps, implementation plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate meetings, working groups, governance sessions, and stakeholder communications across multiple organizations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, governance, program management, process improvement, requirements management, or organizational operations.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management principles, and business process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing executive-level reports, presentations, dashboards, and briefing materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting federal government agencies.
  • Familiarity with COBIT, enterprise governance, risk management, or continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Experience supporting CBP, DHS, or other federal civilian agencies.
  • PMP, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or related professional certifications.
