Job summary

ExamWorks is seeking a Governance Analyst to lead and evolve our governance policies, standards, and operating procedures, drawing on data and business feedback to improve compliance and decision-making across the enterprise.

You will gather requirements from business and technical stakeholders, support policy exceptions, track framework adherence, and collaborate with security and privacy teams to apply access controls and data protection standards to governed assets, while training users and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a business analysis role.
• Demonstrated governance program experience preferred.
• Experience with risk assessment documentation (model cards, intended-use statements).
• Hands-on data governance across catalog, glossary, lineage, policies, and security.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve governance policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Manage intake, review, and escalation of policy exceptions/waivers.
• Support governance council operating cadence — agendas, logs, RAID tracking, scorecards.
• Track and report framework adherence against maturity targets.
• Gather requirements, facilitate business case development for innovations.
• Support tools like data catalogs, glossaries, lineage, risk scores and docs.
• Partner with security/privacy to apply access controls and data protection.
• Monitor adoption and report governance outcomes to leadership.
• Train users on governance standards, tooling, and responsibilities.
• Adhere to competencies and company policies.
