Job summary

rockITdata is seeking an Engineering & GovCloud Lead to oversee engineering, cloud integration, and CIT activities for a major federal healthcare modernization program. You will coordinate with government stakeholders, architects, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to drive secure, scalable cloud solutions in AWS GovCloud across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years leading enterprise engineering, cloud, or software initiatives.
• Experience with secure cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, AWS, Azure Gov).
• Experience leading CIT, systems engineering, or enterprise app implementations.
• Strong cloud, networking, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and systems integration knowledge.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe or hybrid methods.
• Experience with federal healthcare organizations is a plus.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for enterprise healthcare modernization and cloud transformation.
• Oversee CIT to meet requirements before deployment.
• Coordinate across software, cloud, networking, cybersecurity, and systems integration teams.
• Collaborate with architects to develop scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Support AWS GovCloud implementation with federal security requirements.
• Lead design reviews, planning sessions, and deployment readiness reviews.
• Monitor progress, risks, and testing metrics.
• Ensure traceability from requirements to production deployments.
• Partner with management and government stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Promote DevSecOps, automation, and CI/CD best practices.
