Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a DevSecOps / Cloud Hosting Engineer to own and operate the cloud environment backing a national cyber defense command center application. You will manage the deployment pipeline, monitor security controls, and ensure evidence for authorization is maintained.

You will oversee container orchestration, network segmentation, private endpoints, and cost-aware capacity planning, working across development, test, and production with strict government-grade requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cloud infra ownership in regulated or government settings.
• Production experience with container orchestration and autoscaling.
• Experience with long-lived client connections or streaming systems.
• CI/CD pipelines with automated security scanning.
• Infrastructure as code defined and maintained.
• RMF or equivalent continuous monitoring and evidence collection.
• Active TS clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud hosting architecture including network segmentation, routing, and private endpoints.
• Operate container orchestration platform with node configuration and autoscaling.
• Manage content delivery, storage origin, and load-balanced routing.
• Maintain separation across dev, test, and prod; manage capacity and cost.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and IaC.
• Implement IAM, policy guardrails, encryption, and evidence collection.
• Monitor availability, backups, and incident response; lead RCA.
• Collaborate on deployment decisions and provide security-conscious support.
