Job summary

Amazon Leo Government seeks a senior System Development Engineer III to define satcom business operations data engineering and customer health. You will design resilient, scalable systems and drive automation to reduce repetitive work across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, and partner with engineers and PMs to align on strategy and risk mitigation. A TS/SCI clearance is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Strong Linux/Unix expertise and CI/CD pipeline knowledge.
• Experience with data analytics platforms and advanced SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design technology solutions and architectures for complex problems, delivering incrementally.
• Lead architecture and design reviews, operational readiness, and post-incident analyses.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce burden, costs, and improve resiliency.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and leaders on technical strategy and priorities.
• Mentor engineers and produce runbooks, docs, and dashboards as standards.
