Job summary

Merlin System Solutions is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for federal clients in the Washington, DC area. This onsite role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

You will work with Kubernetes, IaC tools, and government cloud environments to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure for mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• US Citizenship required.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure for government cloud environments.
• Work with Kubernetes, container platforms, and Infrastructure as Code tools to build secure, scalable infrastructure for mission-critical applications.
• Collaborate to automate operations and ensure compliance with FedRAMP/FISMA where applicable.
