Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the Gourmet to Go department. You will supervise staff, manage production, and ensure adherence to company recipes and quality standards.

The role requires prior management experience, strong communication, and the ability to train and develop deli associates. A culinary background and food service certification are preferred, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have previous management experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years related experience and/or demonstrated ability required.
• Culinary degree or combination of work experience and education preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct and supervise all department functions to meet sales, profit, service and labor goals.
• Develop plans to maximize sales and gross profit in the department.
• Direct workflow for production, merchandising and distribution in the department.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and EEOC regulations.
• Hire, train and develop deli associates per policy and laws.
• Oversee deli product knowledge and adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare and cook deli and gourmet products per recipes and guidelines.
• Plan product distribution with Dept. Manager and GM.
• Coordinate ordering and inventory to ensure freshness and turnover.
• Maintain communication within department and store.
