Job summary

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is seeking a friendly Customer Service Clerk to join our gourmet store team in Melville, NY. You’ll assist customers, manage loyalty accounts, handle refunds, and support front-end operations with a focus on exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and customer service practices.
• Strong multitasking ability with a positive attitude.
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the service desk with questions and product inquiries.
• Open and maintain customer loyalty accounts by recording information.
• Resolve product or service issues with clear solutions and timely follow-up.
• Process refunds and exchanges per store policies.
• Answer calls and assist customers with inquiries about accounts or products.
• Build trusted relationships through friendly, professional communication.
• Handle complaints with empathy and efficiency.
• Follow all procedures and store policies in interactions.
• Greet customers warmly and ensure guests leave satisfied.
• Process payment transactions and assist with front-end duties.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
