Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is seeking a friendly Customer Service Clerk for our gourmet store. The role focuses on assisting guests, answering questions, and building positive experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will handle loyalty accounts, process transactions, and resolve issues with empathy while maintaining store policies and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of retail or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the service desk with questions, concerns, and product inquiries.
• Open and maintain customer loyalty accounts by accurately recording account information.
• Resolve product or service issues by clarifying concerns, identifying solutions, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Process customer refunds and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Answer incoming calls and assist customers with account or product-related inquiries.
• Greet customers warmly and ensure each guest leaves satisfied.
• Process payment transactions and assist with various front-end duties.

Position Summary

Our Customer Service Clerks are the face of Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace! They provide outstanding assistance to our guests by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering helpful recommendations about our products and services. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating positive customer experiences and working as part of a dedicated, energetic team.

Responsibilities

1. Assist customers at the service desk with questions, concerns, and product inquiries
2. Open and maintain customer loyalty accounts by accurately recording account information
3. Resolve product or service issues by clarifying concerns, identifying solutions, and ensuring timely resolution
4. Process customer refunds and exchanges in accordance with store policies
5. Answer incoming calls and assist customers with account or product-related inquiries
6. Build trusted relationships through open, friendly, and professional communication
7. Handle customer complaints with empathy and efficiency, providing follow-up when necessary
8. Follow all communication procedures, guidelines, and store policies
9. Greet customers warmly and ensure each guest leaves satisfied
10. Process payment transactions and assist with various front-end duties
11. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

Requirements

1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a retail or customer service environment
