Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking a Sales Consultant to build profitable customer relationships, promote premium seafood and gourmet products, and align inventory with customer needs. You will collaborate with chefs, restaurateurs, and retailers to drive revenue and gross profit while delivering exceptional service.

The role involves strategic planning, follow-ups, and cross-functional coordination with product, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely deliveries and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales experience in perishable food products; seafood experience preferred.
• 2-5 years of professional sales in the foodservice industry, or 5-7 years in chef/restaurant management.
• Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts preferred, or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate new business opportunities through networking, consultative sales approaches, and understanding of customer needs.
• Manage and expand existing accounts by building trust and providing customized product solutions.
• Collaborate with chefs, restaurant owners, and stakeholders to exceed expectations and align with business goals.
• Represent and promote premium seafood and gourmet products, staying informed on industry trends.
• Plan and execute sales strategies, organize daily activities, and coordinate product delivery and issue resolution.
• Research prospects using internal CRM, social media, and trade directories.
