Job summary

Raley's in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Gourmet Chef to assist in the preparation, display, and merchandising of all bistro foods for sale, including fresh prepared and packaged items. The chef's creativity and passion for food contribute to the development, preparation and presentation of outstanding prepared foods for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catering events.

Experience in a fast-paced deli/bistro environment.
Ability to plan and present menus with creativity.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Work with the deli/bistro team lead and executive chef to meet sales, product quality and presentation goals for the department.
Plan, develop and present varied menus with expertise and creativity.
Answer phones and take special orders.
Engage with customers with smiles, provide product information and sampling, and offer selling suggestions.
Facilitate catered events from start to finish with catering director and executive chef.
Demonstrate strong communications and sales skills with clients and vendors.
Maintain open communication with deli/bistro and catering teams and managers while ensuring health and safety compliance.
