Job summary

Gary's Wine & Marketplace, a locally owned retailer in New Jersey, is seeking a Gourmet Manager to lead our cheese and gourmet department. You'll train the Gourmet Team, work with vendors on new products, and ensure compliance with health and weights standards.

Your role includes overseeing inventory, waste, scheduling, and reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices, along with shift lead duties. Weekend and holiday hours required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with cheese and wine pairings and gift baskets.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on gourmet items and trends.
• Rotating stock and removing expired items from shelves.
• Oversee inventory, waste management, and scheduling.
• Reconcile purchase orders and invoices; perform shift lead duties.
