Job summary

Gary's Wine & Marketplace is seeking a Gourmet Manager to lead the cheese and gourmet items program. You will develop expertise in cheeses, identify new products with vendors, mentor the Gourmet Team, and ensure compliance with health and weights standards.

You will oversee inventory, waste management, team scheduling, and reconcile purchase orders and invoices while performing shift lead duties as needed. Retail hours include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong sense of customer service.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests in selecting and pairing cheeses with wine, beer and spirits.
• Assist guests with gourmet gift basket selections.
• Stay informed about knowledge and trends in gourmet items.
• Ensure rotation of gourmet stock and removal of expired items from shelves and displays.
• Oversight of inventory and waste management.
• Gourmet Team scheduling and reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices.
• Perform shift lead duties as needed.
