Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Snowflake, AZ is seeking an entry-level seminary teacher to guide youth through the restored gospel. This temporary role involves class instruction, lesson planning, and presenting concepts with the Spirit-led approach.

You will collaborate with a program administrator, prepare engaging lessons, assess student understanding, and support learners in applying gospel principles for personal conversion and temple preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to teach and motivate students in gospel knowledge.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Empathy and respect for youth.
• Able to use Office tools.
• Willingness to align with Church policies.

Responsibilities

• A substitute teacher works in partnership with a program administrator to learn the gospel.
• Effectively prepare and present lessons to students.
• Assist students to fulfill their role in the learning process.
• Teach in the Savior's Way by focusing on Jesus Christ, loving those you teach, teaching by the Spirit, teaching the Doctrine, and inviting diligent learning.
• Create learning experiences of the restored gospel-centered on Jesus Christ, focused on your students, and rooted in the word of God.
• Participate in regular training opportunities to improve your job performance and career development.
• Seek for, receive, and act on feedback through student surveys, self-evaluations, and observations from your leaders.
• Other duties as assigned
