Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is searching for a Gopfert Flexo-DieCutter Apprentice in Kentucky. The apprentice will be trained to setup, troubleshoot, and operate the Gopfert machine, alongside duties like maintaining production quality and cleaning equipment.

The ideal candidate will have prior printing experience and skills in following detailed instructions. Candidates must pass a drug screening after receiving a job offer. This role focuses on ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Must possess common sense understanding to follow instructions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Prior experience in printing is required.

Responsibilities

• Setup flexo and die cutter sections of the Gopfert.
• Mount and retrieve printing plates and cutting dies.
• Assist in evaluating print and die cut production quality.
• Monitor and maintain the printing and die cutting process.
• Operate the feeder section of the machine in production.

SUMMARY:

The Gopfert Flexo-DieCutter Apprentice willbetrainedtobeabletosetuptrouble shootandoperate boththeflexoanddiecutter sectionsofthemachine.Dailyjob duties below will apply to the Apprentice position. Apprentice will operatethe Gopfertwhensituationswarrant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDETHEFOLLOWING:

• SetupFlexo anddie cutter sections of theGopfert.
• Mounting,retrieving andreturning of printingplates andCutting dies fortheGopfert.
• Helpoperator evaluate printanddie cut production quality; bring concernstotheattentionof the operator.
• Clean printing platesasneeded.
• Help operatormonitorandmaintain the overall printingand diecutting process and troubleshootingasneeded.
• Operate thefeeder section of the machine wheninproduction.
• Assistinthe direction and training ofhelpersassigned to assist with the workload.
• Responsible for prepping machinefor the nextproductionrun with corrugated sheets, cuttingdies,printing plates,etc.
• Responsible forthe overallSafety andcleanliness of equipment and area.
• Work in a safe andefficientmanner in accordancewithcompany policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
