Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring a Gopfert Flexo-DieCutter Apprentice to learn setup, troubleshooting, and operation of flexo and die cutter sections. You will assist in mounting plates, cutting dies, and monitoring quality during production.

The role requires reading safety and maintenance manuals, basic math, and strong attention to detail. Prior printing exposure and proficiency with Microsoft Office are helpful; drug screening after conditional offer is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Basic math: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in common units.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up flexo and die cutter sections of the Gopfert.
• Mount, retrieve and return printing plates and dies for the Gopfert.
• Help evaluate print and die cut quality and report concerns.
• Clean printing plates as needed and maintain equipment.
• Monitor production process and assist in troubleshooting as needed.
• Prepare machine for next run with materials and tooling.
