Google in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Play Business Controller to join the Business Controllership team. You will manage financial risks across accounting, compliance, product launches, and finance operations, partnering with Finance, Product, and Engineering to influence business outcomes.
Ideal candidates have CPA or CA, GAAP/ASC 606 expertise, and a minimum of 8–10 years in accounting in a multinational setting.
We're a Business Controllership team dedicated to supporting the Platforms and Ecosystems team. Platforms and Ecosystems is positioned and plays a critical role within the Google Ecosystem. Platforms and Ecosystems is constantly evolving and innovating, and our team has tremendous opportunities to support and operationalize new and unprecedented business initiatives and strategies. We're tasked to satisfy Business's needs while complying with broader corporate policies and processes, and therefore, we must partner closely with both the business teams (BD, Product, Product Legal, Finance) and central/corporate teams (Corp Accounting, TA, RCO, Tax) at all times.
As a Play Business Controller, you will join the controllership team, and become a pivotal driver in supporting Games and Apps Business and responsible for managing financial risks across accounting, compliance, product launches, finance operations, and business systems. You will partner closely with the Finance, business, product and Engineering teams to drive business impact and support. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-product teams. In this role, you will be required to be a well-rounded leader with strong financial expertise and the ability to influence across Google.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $157000 - $227000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
