Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Temporary Google Workspace and Automation Developer to design, build, and maintain internal applications, automated workflows, and data pipelines using Google Apps Script. You will bridge business operations with web interfaces and SQL databases.

The role emphasizes secure forms, service portal components, and data integration across Google Workspace and external APIs. The position is 40 hours per week, onsite in Raleigh, NC, for a 4-month appointment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development, automation, or data engineering experience.
• Advanced Google Apps Script experience with triggers and quota management.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience integrating web forms with Google Sheets plugins and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Workflow Automations and Data Analysis (40%): design, develop, deploy, and maintain Google Apps Script solutions; automate workflows across Google Workspace.
• Project Coordination and ITSM Improvement (30%): build ServiceNow widgets; manage update sets and governance; document architecture and end-user guides.
• System Maintenance, Security & Technical Leadership (30%): monitor and troubleshoot; write technical specs; manage code with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
